Halff Celebrates 75th Anniversary with Legacy in Action Giving Week

RICHARDSON, Texas – Halff, an employee-owned infrastructure consulting firm, marked its 75th anniversary by giving back to the communities it serves through its Legacy in Action Giving Week. Employees across Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas contributed more than $45,000 in donations and nearly 1,000 volunteer service hours to 60 community organizations through the Halff Community Initiative (HCI) during the weeklong celebration from August 18 to August 22.

On Wednesday, August 20, the firm honored the birthday of its founder, the late Dr. Albert H. Halff, with a Day of Giving by participating in a series of community service projects. Inspired by Dr. Halff’s lifelong commitment to putting people first, employees established HCI in 2017 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting local causes and strengthening communities. In addition to volunteering, employees organized fundraisers such as pancake breakfasts, silent auctions and monetary donations.

Volunteers in Halff’s Jacksonville office put together packages for Arize Together, a local nonprofit in the area. 

“Dr. Halff was all about giving back to his community, and we are proud to continue that legacy,” said Halff President and CEO Jessica Baker Daily. “It was inspiring to see the dedication of our employees who gave their time and energy to the communities where we live and work. This was a meaningful way to honor Dr. Halff and celebrate 75 years of excellence and success.”

Since its founding, HCI has donated more than $1 million to more than 400 charitable organizations, all selected by Halff employees.
